After a $54.6 million acquisition of a homebuilder with a San Antonio-area presence, a publicly traded builder enters the local housing market with new luxury homes.

California-based homebuilder Landsea Homes Corp. (Nasdaq: LSEA) has started selling homes in Bulverde and New Braunfels, with prices ranging from about $895,000 to nearly $1.2 million. The builder is also selling homes at Stone Creek Ranch near Boerne.

Homes in Belle Oaks include three- and four-bedroom floor plans, ranging from 3,305 square feet to 3,395 square feet, on 1- to more than 2-acre lots. Vintage Oaks has homes ranging from 3,305 to 3,415 square feet, with three- and four-bedroom floor plans.

Balen said the builders’ focus in the design process is on the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces as well as keeping homes efficient and not wasting space.

“Landsea Homes has a really good history of focusing on the buyers’ lifestyles,” said Greg Balen, division president for Landsea’s Texas division. “We really look to see what the best way to live in certain places and try to maximize the potential of whatever site, house or project we’re doing.”
