Renamed PGA tourney on tap
The Hoag Classic, a PGA-sanctioned golf tournament, will land March 6-10 at the Newport Beach Country Club. The purse is worth $1.8 million.
The tournament, formerly the Toshiba Classic, has raised more than $20 million in total proceeds in its history. Proceeds this year will benefit Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian’s programs and services, as well as other local charities.
