
Orange County Community Foundation CEO Shelley Hoss had the opportunity to join a rare tour of the 387-acre Randall Preserve, led by Coastal Corridor Alliance, the group managing the preserve’s planning.
“What a special privilege it is to be reminded of Orange County’s incredibly unique biodiversity,” she said.
OCCF contributed $200,000 through an endowment fund dedicated to preserving endangered species. With an estimated 45 rare or endangered species and 61 vernal pools on site, the plans are balancing restoration with future public access, with first visitors expected by 2028.
