Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian has broken ground on its CareMar Recovery Center for substance abuse treatment in Newport Beach.
The center is funded by a $25 million gift Hoag received last year from the Pickup and Martin families, local philanthropists and longtime supporters of the hospital. The gift was spearheaded by Carole Pickup, along with her children Devon Martin, Todd Pickup and their spouses, inspired by her decades commitment to addiction recovery.
