The Los Angeles Chargers and Hoag teamed up on Wednesday, Oct. 11 to host a special event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Hoag Performance Center (Chargers practice field), promoting mindfulness and meditation for breast cancer patients, survivors and supporters.
The event featured a breathwork session led by former NFL player and Los Angeles native, Joseph Fauria, known as “Big Joe.” Participants included Hoag breast cancer patients, Chargers players Derwin James and Nick Niemann, and medical experts from Hoag’s Family Cancer Institute.
