Trumark Homes, a long-time homebuilder new to the Colorado market, is building houses for two master-planned communities in Windsor.

The California-based company purchased 159 lots at RainDance, a master-planned community located two miles east of I-25 in Windsor. It also purchased 59 lots in Pelican Shores, one of the last enclaves at Water Valley, another master-planned community. Pelican Shores and RainDance are both completely different neighborhoods, but both stem fromĀ Martin Lind, the developer of Water Valley.

Trumark declined to share what it paid for the lots.

Scott Davis, Colorado division president for Trumark Homes, said that Trumark had been looking to expand in western markets beyond California. The company first considered acquiring a local homebuilder, but then the conversation turned to an organic launch in Colorado. In July, the Colorado division opened with Davis, who has been in the area since 2007, at the helm.
