From an empty school to 218 apartments, MBK Rental Living acquired the 1924 Timber School in Conejo Valley, CA and transformed it into The Sanctuary at Thousand Oaks, adding to the surge adaptive reuse developments. With innovative design, old classrooms are now co-working spaces, the cafeteria is a grab-and-go cafe, and MBK took great pains to restore the original Spanish roof tiles, stucco, and cupola.
