Hoag Health System is weeks away from opening the final phase of the $1.2 billion Sun Family Campus in Irvine, with outpatient services set to open September 14. The cancer and digestive hospital will follow on September 17, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for September 19, before the women’s hospital opens September 21.
“We looked at the data for Orange County and saw three conditions where demand is high and infrastructure is low,” Marcy Brown, senior vice president and chief operations officer at Hoag. “That’s when it all started to come together.”
