Hoag has completed its $1.2 billion Sun Family Campus expansion in Irvine, adding six buildings and 155 inpatient beds. Designed around what Hoag calls “science-based hospitality,” the campus uses natural light, gardens, and courtyards to support healing. Highlights include a one-stop breast center, a women’s hospital with 24 private birthing suites and a 17-bed NICU, and a Cancer & Digestive Hospital with 42 private infusion rooms and the county’s first dedicated Cancer Urgent Care. Hoag expects 12,000 births a year by 2028 between Irvine and Newport Beach.
