A homebuilder plans to construct 83 townhomes in a high-demand suburb northwest of Denver.

The community of Hillcrest Creek will include three-story townhomes with four floor plans that range from 1,438 to 1,826 square feet. The homes will feature three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and a two-car garage.

Trumark Homes recently closed on its purchase of the 6.7-acre parcel at West 59th Avenue and Ward Road in Arvada, the company said. It purchased the land for $5 million last month, according to a special warranty deed filed in Jefferson County.

“New housing projects in Arvada are rare and in high demand, so we are particularly eager to build this community of modern townhomes surrounded by public transit to employment centers, well-maintained neighborhoods, good schools, and recreational options,” said Brian Mulqueen, Colorado division president for Trumark Homes, in a news release. “Hillcrest Creek provides attainable housing in Denver for a variety of buyers, especially for first-time homebuyers.”

Plans include a walking path in the community and landscaped open space along the tributary, along with a park that includes a gazebo, benches and a cornhole court, Trumark said.

Model construction is anticipated to begin next year, the company said. A sales launch is planned for September. That’s when pricing and specific home details will be announced.
