CONCORD, CA — Trumark Homes hosted a ceremonial check presentation Wednesday at El Monte Elementary School in Concord. School and city officials were on hand as the homebuilder donated $12,000 to El Monte Elementary School to provide a new audio/visual system for the school’s auditorium. El Monte students also joined the ceremony, which was planned to coincide with the school’s spring play debut, the Disney KIDS musical, “Aladdin” — the first production at the school since the new equipment was installed. El Monte Elementary School Principal Jeffrey Miles was accompanied by students and staff in welcoming Laura Hoffmeister, mayor of Concord; Carlyn Obringer, District 2 City councilmember; and Mt. Diablo Unified School District Board of Education trustees and administrators.
