Fiber optic equipment maker Corning Optical Communications has leased a building in Milpitas and will use it as its Silicon Valley base.
The company, a subsidiary of Corning Inc., is leasing 840 N. McCarthy Blvd., according to news release Monday from the Irvine Company, which owns the 62,874-square-foot structure.
Irvine didn’t say in the release how much Corning Optical is paying for the space or the duration of its lease. The real estate owner and developer does not disclose financial terms of lease transactions, a company spokesperson said Monday.
