Shea Properties and Ivanhoe Cambridge on Wednesday showed off their latest addition to the South Bay, a 518-unit complex in San Jose’s Japantown.
The recently completed Sixth and Jackson luxury apartments — named after the cross street in which it resides — is located right in the heart of the historic neighborhood. It opened earlier this year and is already 95% leased according to Shea Properties, which developed the project alongside Canadian firm Ivanhoe Cambridge.
“It goes to show that the demand for a really nice product was always there in this area,” Sean McEachern, vice president of multifamily development at Shea Properties told The Business Journal at a private event for the developer and its partners.
