Will Tipton is joining the Shea Properties team as SVP of retail and multi-use development. In his new role, he will continue to grow the Aliso Viejo-based company’s’ retail footprint in the California market, with a focus on acquisitions, planning, entitlement, leasing, budgeting and construction.
Tipton brings many years’ commercial real estate experience to the role, most recently as managing director and partner at Merlone Geier, a private real estate investment company specializing in the acquisition, development/redevelopment of retail and retail-driven mixed-use properties.
Prior to his 10-plus years with Merlone Geier, Tipton held a partner role with Pacific Development Group, where he oversaw all aspects of project development.
