As Syracuse, Utah, continues to grow, new housing such as TheMadison, developed by Cole West, is racing to keep up.
“Syracuse is one of the fastest-growing cities in the state,” Walker Wood, vice president of Development at Cole West, told Homes.com News. U.S. Census data shows the city’s population has increased 24% since 2020, from 32,140 to 39,909 in 2025.
The 176-unit rental community is rolling out building by building, with its first 11 tenants moving in just days after the project’s grand opening earlier this month. Designed with families, commuters and community in mind, Wood said, TheMadison blends 165 apartments and 11 single-family homes.
“There’s several different multifamily buildings, each containing 18 to 24 units on the site,” Wood said. “We have just opened our first building, and the remainder will be delivering throughout the rest of the year.”
The apartment rents range from $1,400 to $2,100 a month, with units ranging from 820 to 1,506 square feet.
The single-family homes are planned to offer 2,250 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. Cole West hasn’t made the rent prices public.
