Tax season looms, but there’s free help ahead for those who need it.
Orange County United Way again will offer tax prep and electronic filing to low- and moderate-income people and families through its OC Free Tax Prep program.
The program starts Jan. 8 and is staffed by volunteers. In the past five years, OC United Way said the tax prep program has helped more than 86,300 taxpayers collect more than $75 million in refunds.
