According to announcements from City Center Bishop Ranch, legendary udon soup restaurant Marugame Udon is coming to the upscale San Ramon, California shopping center shortly.
On a recent visit to City Center, I was able to confirm the fact that Marugame Udon is coming soon, as well as the timeframe of its launch and its future location within City Center. On my visit, a previously vacant storefront on the Northern side of the shopping center, adjacent to Boba Guys and near the rear parking entrance, was newly emblazoned with large signs announcing the restaurant’s pending launch.
According to the signs, Marugame Udon will be arriving in City Center in the Spring of 2022. The signs likely serve to announce the pending arrival of the new eatery, but also to obscure the restaurant’s large windows during the interior build-out, where the restaurant’s kitchen, tables, and other fixtures will be constructed and installed.
