Apple may have its headquarters in Cupertino, but the iPhone maker and tech titan takes up multiple office buildings throughout Sunnyvale. After a five-year period where Apple didn’t expand its Sunnyvale footprint, earlier this year it snatched up all the remaining available space at Pathline Park.
The lease of 700,000 square feet of office space — Silicon Valley’s largest so far in 2021 — across six buildings takes up more than half of the 1.3 million-square-foot office park on the 42-acre, redwood tree-lined site in the Peery Park district.
Due to the size and timing of the lease, which includes existing buildings at 600, 650, 700, 725 and 750 N. Mary Ave. — as well as 625 Palomar Ave., which is still under construction — the deal garnered the Business Journal’s Deal of the Year award. Last year, the Irvine Company’s Pathline Park was awarded the Structures Spec Project award.
